Ginger Speaks:

   Since J & I got together he's made all of my clothes- that's helped me a lot, he's been an important part of my life.

Jason: So how long have the two of you been together?

Ginger: We've been together since august 1974.

Jason: So, J.L. has always made your clothing?

Ginger: Since we got together. The pink dress with the rubber breasts is the first outfit J made for me.

J.L.: That was only the second dress I'd ever made.


Ginger: He was self-taught to sew. Most of the things he designs for me are his own creation.

Jason: That's amazing, because the outfits are unbelievable.

Ginger: They've gotten better over the years. And then, sometimes we step back & now they're not as elaborate- J use to put so much work into things that were really unusual. I didn't have as many clothes then, so everything was very elaborate that he did. I'm very happy with what he does. As I've gotten older & heavier, which goes with the territory- certian things don't look good on me, so if we find something that flatters, we stick to it. When I first started, I could wear a size 10 off the rack.
